Sycamore Brewing – Charlotte / SouthEnd

Tucked into the lively South End district of Charlotte, Sycamore Brewing has long been a local favorite—and it’s easy to see why. With a wide array of in-house craft beers, inviting gathering spaces, and a calendar packed with events, it’s a must-visit spot for beer lovers and community seekers alike.

Brew Highlights & Atmosphere

At its South End taproom, Sycamore pours an impressive range of brews—from IPAs, stouts, and porters to pale ales—with seasonal rotations and specialty offerings adding extra excitement. Signature favorites like Sycamore Lager, IPA, and Pilsner remain staples that keep regulars coming back.

The expansive taproom spans about 21,000 square feet featuring a “4-in-1” concept that includes an indoor bar, a café, an outdoor beer garden, and an Airstream food trailer tucked upstairs  . Plenty of seating, games, and a cozy atmosphere make it a welcoming hangout rain or shine.

Tasty Bites & Beverage Variety

From hearty burgers and tacos to salads and sandwiches, the kitchen serves an enticing menu with weekly pairings, grab-and-go options, and brunch on weekends  . The café adds fresh coffee, pastries, beer floats, boozy pops, cider, and cocktails on tap—perfect for lingering afternoons or light bites.

Vibrant Events & Community Vibe

Sycamore’s South End location buzzes with recurring weekly events:

  • Yoga Wednesdays & Saturdays
  • Music Bingo Tuesdays
  • Trivia nights every Wednesday
  • Run Club meetups

Seasonal celebrations bring extra flair:

  • Syctoberfest (Oktoberfest vibes with games, music, costumes)
  • Fall Fest (featuring seasonal brews and live music)
  • Sycaween (a fun, spooky weekend with fancy cocktails and costumes)

Community meetups—from yoga to trivia—all contribute to the taproom’s welcoming spirit.

Looking Ahead: New Expansion Coming 2026

Sycamore Brewing is gearing up for growth with a new location slated to open summer 2026 in the Cotswold Village Shopping Center  . This will be their first taproom in that neighborhood, offering about 7,000 sq ft indoors and a sprawling 11,000 sq ft beer garden.

Cotswold’s version will be built with families in mind—weekend brunches, live music, a kids menu, and expanded dining choices—plus table service (unlike the South End’s counter model).
